I got given some deer antler recently by a friend of mine. It was part of a legal cull in Berkshire. I have never used it before and was unsure how best to set it. I stabilised it, knowing full well I doubt it was going to make much of a difference but thought I would try dying it, being the first time I had ever attempted it. I know for a first attempt they came out well but think in future I would want to put more of it in the mold so you get more of the effect.
