Inspiration for the Roman Vase shaped handle came from a real Roman vase...

The good quality Briar Burl is wickedly expensive stuff to buy!
I have a customer in Italy who sent me a few pieces, on the understanding that I would make a brush for him from one of them.
I jumped at the opportunity :whistling:

Great style to all of them Rod - might even try to use one now that I've seen them, I guess you just need to allow a bit more time

I buy burl wood in whatever size I can get hold of, and then cut it up.
