Some small bits of timber

A few triangles, some diamonds, a square, and several polygons.

It was a "can I do it" exercise. I need to pay more attention to the combination of colors. Not totally happy with the pairings on the ends and the middle strips. (picky, picky, picky).

Looks great in my opinion.

We are always our own worst critics but its rare anyone else notices unless you point something out.

Great work

For Angelo49:

Yes, admittedly minor issues, but before it's tossed into the drawer with the others I'll still want to get it right.

I have a different timber/color scheme glued up, suits me better. Hopefully will be done in a few days if I have time. Off to assist the In-Laws for a spell.

I appreciate the encouragement.

Mark, you've produced a very interesting pen on a super looking kit.
Very intricate piece of work.
I enjoy seeing your photographs of the process. (?)
Alan

I'll see if these load. This is not all of the process, but the files are getting fussy to download.

However, I calculated the angles needed. Made several sanding blocks, and used a disk sander and double sided tape to make the polygons. Then constructed the blank with four corners, and proceeded as usual. I hope that is helpful.

I have made another set with a different color scheme that I think will look more appealing. Drying at the present.

I hope that is helpful

Thanks a lot for these pictures and an insight into the process involved. I will have to spend some time studying them. First thought was "Wow that's tricky !!! "

Thanks for taking the time Mark, and it challenges me to improve, take my time, and plan the end result out better.
