This is my blank squaring device great so far needs a new disk soon whilst figuring this out (pain in the neck to do) I decided to replace with the Velcro Adapter did not measure so I have to reorder the disk is 360 mm.

Looking under at the dust extraction found the gate has opened out will look now at a different gate for it.It seemed dusty sometimes? now I know why, being tall it is below my view height in use.

The lathe part is not used so I propose building a shelf on the lathe bed and installing a 305mm Disk Sander plus on that new shelf using a finer grit so I will quick sand on the old one and finish sand on the new one, I have had the new one sitting on a shelf for 18mths time to do it has arrived.

I had those gates and found them very frustrating, continually blocking so that I couldn't shut it properly. I've now bought the aluminium ones and they're superb and never jam.

I have the same gates & mine also clog in the groove. I have mine just as a push fit on the tube so I can remove them & clean the groove with a piece of wire. Works ok but still a pain in the proverbial.

When i had them in the old shed Geordie i had the gate face down and never had the trouble of them blocking. Will be doing the same in the new build ..
