I am not too sure about this now. It looked ok during dry fit in the workshop, but now not too sure. Turned out of maple wood.

I like the way you have got it to stick to the wall!! :winking:

:funny::funny: I didn't forget what you said about camera orientation, Pierre, but to take this in landscape would have looked odd.
Hope you're ok. Still Bl**dy raining here :rolling:

No it doesn't look odd in landscape just crop the picture to suit the shot that you want.

Its 11 degrees and now its stair rods!! River is up 2 metres which since its 100 metres wide at the end of my garden means a lot of water!!

Yes the stem is a bit thick, however, to make it thinner it would have had to have been a bit taller else the mouth would have been out of proportion.....but you remembered the incision that we spoke about, however, there should also have been another incision on the other side of the bead and all of the incisions should have been half the current depth. Dont worry, perfection will arrive and you will make a Dalboy museum piece eventually :whistling::thumbs::thumbs:

let everyone else wonder:whistling:

Thanks for the advice, as usual always appreciated. I am trying to work out ways where I can remount it on the lathe and alter the design a little. I think I am going to have to turn a jam chuck of some description.

As you say, one day I will produce the Mona Lisa of the wood turning world......but don't hold your breath....:wink::wink:

As my old school master said "This boy will go through life pushing doors marked pull" :funny::funny::funny:.

Hope the weather dries up for you soon and the tide retreat.....it's actually sunny here but very wet and damp.

Cheers
