Here's something I turned this afternoon, I'm sure you'll know what it's made from. I saw this Canadian guy doing one of these on Youtube and he called it an Angel Wing dish. It's purely decorative and doesn't really have a function, but it's fun to make. This one has been inlayed (or the holes have been filled) with copper powder and I buffed it on the buffing wheel with carnuba wax. Constructive criticism welcome.:bwink:

Bloody horrible things to turn the nut not the dish. You have done a great job on this one did you fill the voids if so what adhesive did you use

Hi Dalboy, I poured a small amount of copper powder into the holes and used super thin ca then topped up the powder and more ca then put it back on the lathe and used a scraper to turn away the excess

It actually looks very good Ray .. I have one sat on the shelf of my shed, do they have a shelf life BTW?? :bwink:
