Now this will never leave the house as the spalting is too far gone, but, as a test piece it's served it's purpose. I'm trying to concentrate more on overall form on pieces like this, and the hollower works a treat. So good times!

Ooooh very nice. That's a sharp angle for the "hollower" how far across can you reach through the hole?

cheers Paul. I got 90% into the corner, but had to stop due to the size of the cutter. I've made another hollower too now using hexagonal bar and hss metal turning tips, so I'm going to make a cranked one of those too.

Thats a great reach and having to deal with two close walls in the corner would have made me extremely nervous. All the better for it being your own tool.

Looking forward to seeing the new tool too.
