This,hopefully is the start of a new pen set in spalted beech,I usually stay away from spalted beech because it's weak but it was easy to turn with Woody's carbide tool :winking:

Nicely done Matty, good to see you are getting on with the new tool my friend .. I s that a Renaissance wax finish? Looks very good if it is .. :thumbs:

Thanks Jim,and everyone else...Yeah its the Renaissance finish,not going back now,the best finish i've had so far was on a piece of Yew,went on very easily and buffed up like glass!
