When I read this years ago it made me curious like the Cheshire Cat what the so I bought a few from the good ole and never regretted it. It works well and unlike most spalting requires no special stuffing with fillers, CA or hardeners that take all the naturalness away from the original and turn the timber into plastic. Like all descriptions of timber it either comes with a beaut botanical name or vague name eg there are so many Citrus varieties. I am guessing not far from the UK it must abound in Spain and other warmer climes.

With lots of rain again after so much heat and drought I have thought of Googling Ark building and collecting two of every kind of Pen Blank.

Fantastic wood and very nicely turned Peter, you've certainly made a lovely piece of timber into a superb pen.
