First of many hopefully using the new sanding disc, looks to me like spalted Beech, finished with CA on a gunmetal slimline kit.

Did you find that the sanding jig keeps your blanks nice and square ???

Thanks Terry, the jig works a treat, I'm more pleased that I can now turn some of the spalted Apple & Sycamore Woody kindly gave me.
I had tried before to make a couple of pens from his blanks but my barrel trimmer just ripped the end grain regardless how I sharpened the cutter.
