Spalted willow

WAtching the Cricket bats breaking during the recent day nighters over here against Sth Africa and New Zealand the cricketers do no seem to use oil on their bats any more.

No oil on this one. First time turning Willow.

They are related, the Willow tends to like heaps of water in our City they grubbed them all out their roots bind a bank but create real problems over time, they are drooping in their growth.

Poplars vary but tend to be upright, more slender, some grown intensively for making safety matches.
