Split vase revisited

As some of you know the Laburnum vase I made yesterday split in 5 places bin it nooooooooo salvage job out with the dremal and a dentist burr a bit of grinding and sanding and walla enjoy or not to be honest I am more than happy with it

I was wondering if a hole drilled below and in line with the crack would have stopped the crack lengthening

Thanks Don I did cut bellow each split with a burr so in effect I did what you suggested thanks again mate
