OK I'm going to make this short.

What way does the spring go on a refill?

One end of the springs are wound tighter together on one side, does the tight end point towards the refill or away?

Thank you

No honestly, I think it depends on the nib piece, most are tapered so I have the slimmer end of the spring that end.... If I put the wider end in it would not seat fully..... Well that's my logic:thumbs::thumbs:

I put the tighter wound end on the refill first (Parker type as I don't do Slims so don't know about Cross type) so it butts up to the step. If it doesn't work well turn it around. Since I'm at it save every disposable pen spring before you toss them as spares for when the kit spring decides to make a break for it and disappears.
