This one was made as a gift for a very good friend. A piece of stabilized maple burl was waiting for too long to be turned into a special pen, so I didn't think twice and I proceeded to design it and turn it. Brass rings and black ebonite finials were added, together with a EF Bock#6 nib. Eventually I decided that, as a gift, would not be enough to put it in just an ordinary carbon case or any pouch, so another idea came up for a wooden case and... here it is, made of ash and walnut, black velvet inside

I have not been turning pens for long, and I still have a way to go, but WOW ! that pen is gorgeous
When I have got some more experience I am going to get some stabilized wood. Thanks to you. Very well done.

I'd love to see the design and give it a try at some point :camera: (but only with permission!)
This is, more or less, the process, if you can figure out. Unfortunately, no dimensions. It's built around the pen's dimensions. No problem to share any info you need.

@SorinS Firstly thanks! - I'm just in the middle of something else but at some point I will return to this, does the pen holder swivel or is it just the way you have it positioned in the holder?

Yes, the holder swivels, there is a cross brass axis which allows this movement.
