I find some pen kits a bit garish with their highly polished plated finish. Are there any stainless steel kits out there or would they be too expensive for most folks? A link or two would be handy if they are available.

Have you done this Peter, if so what is the weight of the pen like?:thinks:

Welcome to the forum William.

I have made several from stainless and also from brass and aluminium, you wouldn't notice much difference between a similar sized regular kit pen. The blank you choose makes more of a difference to the weight than the components.

If it is a solid stainless or brass bolt type pen then they are a bit heavier about 74gr
