Does your workshop smell of vinegar mate, looks good Neil I found the wood between the growth rings to be much softer than the growth rings so had to be careful when sanding

Not getting the Vinegar smell off this latest batch but intend to use the different densities in a new piece by burning and brushing the softer bits away if it works!

Acetylated timber sounds like a mouthful,over here they say 50 yrs above and 25 yrs below ground life of. With heaps of real timber abounding at yours what prompted this Bowl Neil? I see a useful bowlm in strength and weight ,the sort I like sometimes.

How's the leg btw? Have you got over me touching your knee?
I keep getting offcuts of it given from a joiners shop. I've been using the smaller bits for reverse chucking bowls, but now have some bigger bits.

Just to clarify the above!
I'm on crutches at the moment with a stretched ligament in my knee so can't bend to put stuff away, or sweep in the main workshop. Bob came over to York and we met at his motorhome. With the usual forgetfulness of a man of his advanced years he slapped me on the knee as we were leaving!

And to think we came to visit our friend the lovely Ali but to do that had to put up with grumpy old Neil for hours. A friendly tap on the knee and he cries for hours.
