A reclamation project that featured in issue 2 of Woodworking Crafts magazine.
Mainly remains of a child's flat pack desk. A completely pointless wooden mechanism was made to lift the lid, and the light comes on when the lid is fully open.
Very "Marmite" I know.
The brief on this one was to "Re imagine" the use of a load of junk.
No fine woodworking was involved.
Nothing was specifically purchased to make this, and use was made of anything to hand.

It's metal Bob. I picked a couple of tubes out of a skip containing what looked like air conditioning stuff in it.
I don't know what purpose they originally had. The plate at the bottom is solid, and the other end had a plastic cap on.

I can visualise you head first in a skip with the "blue arse" in the air. Horrible thought though
