Steampunk Pen

My grandson asked me to produce a pen for him to use during his exams, “of course”, I said, “what sort do you want?”, to which he replied, steampunk please papa”. I’d never heard of steampunk before his request so I had to do a bit of research on the subject before designing and casting the pen blanks. I‘ve attached a photo of the result, he was delighted and now his mates want some as well. I didn’t realise that steampunk existed let alone be so popular.

That is a great pen. Well done to you. The kits Mark mentioned average $35.00 (£27.00) then postage, packaging and no doubt import tax needs adding. Saying that, Axminster tools are selling Prokraft kits that cost over £75.00. Bit too much for me.

Very nice. I can see this idea really taking off with the televising of ‘His Dark Materials’. The whole series design seems to have a variation of Steampunk at its core.
