Received a phone call yesterday from shopping centre management. Do I want to take up a concession booth for three days, 50 quid + George. Ok cheap, but mindful of what Stevenage holds in store I didn't alert securicor.

Point proved, I posted a note about life in Stevenage, bloke walks up to me and says "have you got any pens with the words Porsche on, you know the car?"

Response to a rather incredulous individual, "No they wouldn't let me write Crafted Pens on the side of their cars so I told them I wouldn't write Porsche on the side of my pens."

Bloke wanders off to collect his giro from the post office, and I am left pondering the meaning of life and wondering if their is life in Stevenage.

You should have written Porsche on the side of a pen with a rollerball & sold it him for £100 :funny:

It's very quiet in the shopping centre, and despite the fact that on one side of my stall I had had no visitors for three hours the cleaner had been around and waved the broom at the floor three times. I had a chat with her and commented that it was quite and she agreed so I asked her what day was the quietest and her answer was, "Monday to Friday and Sundays not much better"

Won't be back!

Neil, Like the age old tale of the travelling salesman the odd recommend or rejection can be totally different experiences from one person to another better fortune at the next venue.

Kind regards Peter.
