Nice looking eggs there but I would be a bit worried if my hens did any like them.

Love them vic, Do you use fruit jaws?

No Dan I just do the pointed end first and then use a spindle gouge and go as thin as I dare . Polish them up and part it off following the shape of the bottom of the egg with the spindle gouge and just hand finish the nib that's left.

Impressive. The company i used to work for manufactured plates to fit a chuck one which you could fix timber to.

I might have a go at making a set of them Dan they would certainly save time when doing fruit and the like

The ones we used to sell were designed to have the timber(jaws) screwed to them and then the fitted to the chuck. This idea looks like the wood fits straight to the chuck. I have seen them made with a piece of bike inner tube glued to the inside edge to stop the finish getting damaged.

Vic do you sell them? I made some for my wife years ago. Might be an idea for grand daughters.

Terry, I made those for the Mrs last year as she said that I hadn't brought her an Easter Egg for years. I think she was expecting a chocolate one but these have lasted her longer .

I have sold them in the past I had a commission to make 30 it drove me bonkers !
