I may have already mentioned this, so apologies if so.
At beginning of March I was delivering in York, when about 19:00 hours I collapsed in a pool of sweat, nausea and extreme pain. The ambulance refued to come to me as I was not having a heart attack, so after about 30 mins I pulled myself back in to the van driving seat and aimed for York Teaching Hospital A&E. About two hours later, having been dealt with very nicely and promptly I was told i possibly had a kidney stone and would be referred.
Two weeks later, nothing, several phone calls to my GP and York Urology, I find out that a referral was never done. Long story short, GP refers me to St james Hospital in Leeds for a CT Scan.
A week later, phone call from GP, you have a 15mm stone, but it will be three months to see an NHS consultant.
Early June see a private consultant at Spire Hospital in Elland, Halifax.. His first words "why have you come here you live in Leeds". He can't do anything they do not have the equipment, so on Monday coming I go to my fourth hospital, the Calderdale Royal Hospital to see the same consultant under the NHS and have a pre op.
As I am moving across the country from East to West, maybe the operation will take place in Preston, who knows..
Only fly in the ointment is I start a new job on the 6th of July, hope I get operated on before then.
Oh! and why Stonemaker, well with the GP last week and she said it's my first but I might be a Stonemaker..It has taken me 55 years but finally I have an accredited title, do I get an NVQ?
Maybe I can sign myself John Robinson, SM. WT. PTF. BWTC
