OK, having done slimlines, I got to wondering just what the difference is with the streamline?

If I'm being dense then that's about situation normal, so have at me !

Cheers

Hi Phill the streamline is a bit fatter than the slimline other than that they are exactly the same except for the clip you can buy just the streamline centre bands and make a streamline from a slimline kit

Yep, the kit is made up with the same major components apart from the centre band. Quite often the clip is the same as well.

You will find that the tube length is 52mm in most kits, however some kit suppliers will make them 55mm just to confuse you..:rolling:

Philh,

I use Slimlines, centrebands same as streamline I dont use special bushings preferring to caliper the ends and centre mesurements clip fashions vary in slimlines and some Streamines. I used to buy slims by the hundreds so built up a stock of them trying to live within my means. Streamline centre bushings match the fatter centreband. I have never been one for skinny slimlines the amount of timber left in them approaches veneer thickness IMHO ripe for splitting.

Kind regards Peter.:goesred:
