And finally a Silver Birch Platter 18" x 1 1/2"

Plenty of wood on the go guys. Turned and sold all the bigger stuff that was ready before Christmas but just got a couple on commission with a deadline!

I don't bother on these chunky ones Derek as it can actually be detrimental. The inner bark always moves at a different rate from the rest (it is basically cork after all), and if you stiffen it up it can make it crack off. I always do these in food safe oil as it allows a bit of flex.
