I ordered some blanks from Timberbits on Sunday evening the 4th June and selected the normal shipping service which generally takes about 20 days to the UK. The blanks were despatched on Monday 5th of June and I was amazed when they arrived on my doorstep on Friday 9th June. The shipping cost was 8 dollars which is about £5 in sterling.
They must be building supersonic ships in Australia to get the blanks here in such a short time. It makes the Royal Mail in this country an absolute joke.

Well done Timberbits !!!

Aside from Timberbits getting them in the post so quickly, isn't it Australia Post and Royal Mail that should be congratulated?!

And believe me, Royal Mail is a dream compared to some other postal services. I recently sent a pen to Mexico, it got to Mexico within about 3 days, but took another 4 weeks to actually be delivered. I've had similar issues with US Postal Services...some pens arrive in a week, others take 3 weeks. The fastest overseas location to send to seems to be Hong Kong (I guess because it's a hub); regularly 3 days from posting to delivery.

I sent a pen to Argentina and It took eight weeks to arrive, but just yesterday I sent two pens to Essex first class, posted them at 4pm, and got an e-mail this morning thanking me for the pens. I say well done Royal Mail. As for Timberbits, I must check them out.:thumbs:
