Those who answered about who do you purchase from was poor, but from the replies most gave was Ebay

I agree Phil, its very evident that group 2 is favorable. however, (Always has to be one )

Do people in group 2 buy them because

A - They don't know they could get them cheaper?
B - Or, know they are more expensive but believe they are getting a better product.?
C - They are actually getting a better quality kit. ?

The same could apply to groups 3 & 4 as well I guess.

Thoughts on a post card please..

The other point is that 193 people read the survey but only 71 voted!

No but the number buying them does. Not everyone can afford higher prices and as long as are customers are happy that's it. Sold over 200 slimline ( cheap ones ) and no complaints. Over and over again same customers contact me for more as they really like the ones they have bought over the years. They are happy and I am.

I can echo the favourable responses to Slimlines over time. There is no stigma cast by name which is great IMHO.My budget gets elongated after 20 yrs of retirement.

On the front page there is a number of visits that can be seen as visitors, since my reply on here there has been 4 more visits to the thread survey. See picture below.

Now some of that could well be that original posters are re-visiting to see the results, but I'm not convinced it's that high a figure.

Now I know that site stats are available from Phil and maybe Walter so it could be fairly accurate but that would take time to look at and not sure its worth analysing to that degree as I do't see its that scientific.

Wow, I didn't bother much with looking at the original thread but been to look and see that less than 15 voted on here..

probably says more about this forum than anything else TBH.. less than 15 out of all the forum members chose to vote Yes, No or otherwise.

The answer if it had only come from this site would be no. Very poor response ( see Eamonn's last thread do I need to say anymore.)
It started out in a small way, me being nosy wondering if I was the only one selling slimline pens. It next brought me to ask if I was buying the right kits, although I had no complaints from customers or my self. ( was buying cheap from 2 suppliers who were selling I found out just lately they were from Rizheng. I had no reason to change although reading between the lines on this site one or two would not agree with me ) but I didn't think I could compete with the cost that some on here were paying for kits and further more could my customers pay the prices I would have to charge them. I now know that I might in the future go to no 2 price scale but not yet unless I start getting complaints.
My answer at the beginning was no, but when other results started to come in from elsewhere ( 220% more answers from another site compared with this site ) the answer is yes. I just hope others will feel the same, find your level and do what you think is best for you, don't try and compete if you can't with the big boys.

You've asked the question I was going to ask Phil but didn't as I really couldn't see the point so didn't participate.
having read Glens reply I can see what he's doing but I view surveys as largely a waste of time unless very specific such as Eammon asking for help so he could size the grooves properly for his boxes.

I didn't see you asking where I purchased from, my last few orders came from timberbits.
