It is surprising how well this wood actually looks, i have had some of the same wood from him Phill and it does make lovely looking pens as this one proves .. :winking:

Sycamore burr is one of my real favourites, the final finish is really 'three-dimensional'. I appreciate it all the more as while sycamore is a very common tree - regarded as a weed by some - it very, very rarely forms burrs. The two I got hold of (on the same tree) are the only ones I've ever personally come across.
