Picture fest Jim you brought out the arsenal of extras to make this one. Do you trim on the lathe or sand the ends before turning, puzzled how you achieved the broken closed ring. I am heavily in favour of the fastening of the clip but as you said some locking fluid would pay dividends a small extra with the additional treatment to make the blank. Those special cans of paint are very exxy over here per can. These fourteen pics deserve attention.

The end result is superb.
