Tempest in Indian Rosewood

The piece of Rosewood I was given produced half a dozen blanks, and this is the second pen. This particular blank was not quite as "oily" as the previous, so I utilised Phil's Melamine method for finishing.

It's a birthday gift for my daughter-in-law, so we'll see how well the finish fairs in daily use!

I was in a rush to photograph, so the image of the back doesn't show the grain to best effect.

I prefer your selfie to our PM leering with as many people as will stand still.

Many years ago I bought offcut figured timbers from a famous US maker of musical instruments and included were some of Indian Rosewood.

Love your pens grain.
