Thanks to you chaps who gave me advice about pillar drills and how a lot here use the lathe to drill blanks ,Just received my Axemister chuck and pen jaws and tried it out ,Wow perfectly central ,You’ve all probably saved me money there so cheers ,Ian

Good result. As said if you have any more questions ask away. There are sadly lots of pen making “tools” out there that aren’t really necessary.
