You need to get up to Neils then Woody, as Derek said on the other thread, all Neils wood has bloody holes in it :funny:

Seriously though that is an awesome piece of turning, I thought I was twitching with the olive bowl, it has nothing on that.

How the hell do you turn something like that ?

Duck Tape ?

That is one cracking piece of work and good on you for having the foresight to see what the wood was possible of, I think I would have given up with it.

First of all thank you all for the comments on my work.

Just to say that none of what I have produced is beyond anyone's ability on this forum you all produce some great pieces of work. They are all simple projects and easy to turn, the vase is probably easier to turn than a fully enclosed hollow form as you can easily see the tool inside the piece through the natural inclusion. I did take a small precaution of wrapping a piece of masking tape around the neck area and found this sufficient to prevent any break out.

The main problem is finding that right piece of wood so go out and play and have fun, don't forget to turn safe:wink:

Derek there might be as you call it a hole in your vase but no flies on the turner mate that is superb in every way I would think a pucker factor of 9/10. Such a glorious colour indeed exceptional colour and grain mate full marks.:goesred: Peter.
