My friend visited me in Wales last weekend and we went to the Wales v New Zealand game. He's a Kiwi, and suffice to say he was happier with there result than I was.
Whilst he was here we made this pen together, and we called it "The All Black".
It's made from vintage black cellulose and has some sterling silver to represent the silver fern on the NZ team kit.
It has cap threads at the end of the section as the cellulose is quite slim and already drilled so making a cap that envelopes the section would mean making the pen barrel and section very thin. It also means the section is made by filling the cellulose tube with acrylic and drilling it out for the nib housing. This creates limitations on the dimensions of the section too, especially the diameter.
It is finished off with a black Bock number 6 nib.
Cheers
