The “ BRUNEI ” PEN
The wood was recovered from the clearance of a Helicopter landing site known as an LP. The name was TAGONG. Tagong was/is a jungle training camp situated in Brunei. It is only assessable by helicopter. The camp is used by British troops training in “ Jungle warfare” and “Military combat tracking” The training establishment is the UK Jungle warfare wing based at Seria on the cost of Brunei which is on the island of Borneo. The area of jungle is known as the “Labi”. The camp name “ TAGONG “ is named after one of the IBAN Tribesman who helped to construct the LP his name being TAGONG.

Interesting history,=nice pen, intreaged as to how you come by a piece of timber from somewhere so remote, but it should last a while:thinks::thinks:

My brother in law was master of 40 plus apprentices on these Islands some years ago,one day a huge Gorilla broke open the front door went to the kitchen. Yes you may ask what happened well anything he wanted then out back where he decapitated a few trees and much later disappeared much to their relief. They photographed the event.

Once again provenence rules.Well found Glen.
