I have finished turning the vase and taken a few photos which I think will make it self explanatory but please if you have any questions dont be afraid to ask a brief explanation of what I done I turned all of the outside between centres including a spigot for my gripper jaws then turned it around and fixed it in my chuck and engaged the tailstock till I cleaned up the top of the vase and started going in all with a bowl gouge then changed over to my Robert sorby Sovereign tool to remove the rest of the inside then sanded the whole thing then I folded a thick wad of paper towelling to place over the chuck then slid the vase over it and engaged the tailstock to remove the spigot sorry about the photo of that but I was turning with one hand and trying to take a photo with the other hand the split at the bottom is filled with super glue and sawdust the pip left in the middle was removed with a saw and then power sanded and signed it job done lol the last three photos show it with the first coat of oil enjoy and I hope this will be of help to someone

I was thinking the last vase I tried to make I had to give up half way through doing it and thought I would never be able to make another one so the triple bypass has worked LOL so crack or no crack I'm so pleased to be able to have made this one a crack is Ok its when you get a hole in your bottom Derek :mooney2::mooney2::funny::funny::funny:
