Hi all,

Made a couple of Mistral pens today, they are the first for 2018 but also the first ones since i'm back home after my surgery.

#1 Mistral TiGold with TiGold accent, dressed with olivewood,

#2 Mistral Rhodium with TiGold accent, also dressed with olivewood,

Both are crosscut olivewood that cames from Provence, melamine finish and a little carnauba wax for the end coat.

Those are lovely.
The wood really showcased by the choice of kit and plating. They are really nicely thought out.
The figuring is beautiful. The wood is the star of the show.
I'm a big fan of Melamine as a finish.
I think you really stay in touch with the wood.

Lovely work, congratulations.

Two lovely pens here. Both are complimented by the kits you've chosen.
I do especially love the look, feel and smell of working with olive - I may however be just a little biased as I happen to have a large quantity of it stashed in a dry place and dig into it from time to time.

Well done - it's good to see you back making wonderful pens.

Great balls of fire Clement how pleasing to see all round your beautiful pens as an avid lover of Olive wood. Neat you have come out of your sickness cocoon to emerge with new enthusiasm.

Peter.

Those are breathtaking! I am embarrassed that I have not made a pen for the New Year -and I won't until the weekend - but I must say that I have been hiding some much coveted Mistral sets for a project, and you just made me want to go into the shed a little early!

I hope your surgery has been positive. We are thinking about you, sir.

(If this is what you do after surgery, you might consider some small procedures on a weekly basis and then a quick run into the shop. Perhaps the medics have a positive effect on your beautiful pens!)

Heal and make more! Congratulations - these are gorgeous.
