Until recently a distinctive trunchen material used by Police in the UK, before you go searching for old batons they will be quite plain this blank is figured. Still used today in ships for in line bearings water lubricated main drive shafts. It is the national tree of the Bahamas. Full of swirly close lines some sapwood.

Really, Really, Really nice, up to the usual standard and finish. never even seen the wood before.. But I know someone who lives in the Bahamas:thumbs:

I now know what to get them to bring back next summer..
