find a complication using toothpaste or brasso nif your spacers are brass the blackening that results can spoil the finish also if you use a mandrel it will transfer problems at the recent WWWood Show I was able to buy down to 15000 fluff backed red or blue faced paper if you use that fine wet and dry it will carry over black as well.
