Yes.... Fit and finish looks really good..... But as John has said above, some acrylic blanks become translucent when turned. One way to stop the tubes showing through is to paint the brass tubes with acrylic paint either a complementry colour or contrasting colour, another and my preferred method is to paint the inside of the drilled hole, again acrylic paint on a cotton bud. Some people mix colour into their glue but if you paint the hole it's not needed.

Does the paint not react with the glue when you glue the tube in the blank ?

I paint the drill hole. Like Mark & have problem gluing the tubes.
It’s a nice pen Martyn, you can only get better.
I find acrylic easier to turn & finish than some timbers.

Just to clarify Bill, Are you saying you have a problem glueing the blanks after painting the hole, or was it meant to say you have no problem?

I paint the drilled hole with acrylic paint then glue the next day, usualy with CA Glue & haven’t had any issues on the few I’ve done.

I pre prep my acrylic blanks.... So drill and paint one day glue up another.... Turn another... I use gorilla PU and have had no issues.... If I'm in a hurry I just don't rush the steps, and tell the customer so:whistling::whistling:

Sorry, my post should read that I have no problem gluing the tubes in.

Just a tip for acrylic, very often you get ribbons and they wrap round and stop you seeing parts of the piece you are working on. I have a an airgun permanently pressurised beside me, one very quick blast and they come off immediately, instead of have to stop and either unwind them or cut them off. :winking:
