Well the third casting seems to have gone well just have to wait to turn some pens from one of them to see what the inside offers.

Well done, looking really good. Do you find it easy to get out of the tubes once cured?

I remember Merve used to use tubed 500 mm long for the smaller ones, what size / length are you using.?

Thanks guys I will see how this one turns out before doing the next ones and once the big mould is fully cured, it feels like it has gone off now but will leave it a couple more days to be sure I will start having a go at doing a block.


Well done, looking really good. Do you find it easy to get out of the tubes once cured? Knock out is very easy I have a piece of dowel and a wooden hammer to gently tap them

I remember Merve used to use tubed 500 mm long for the smaller ones, what size / length are you using.? My tubes are 6" long so with the bung and after cutting I get blanks of 5 1/4"

Where did you get the plastic tubes from Derek?

They where found in my potting shed I believe they where down pipes for a greenhouse. People use the 3/4" white overflow pipe from plumbers merchants or even screwfix
