Only joking
I'll still be there for a demo Walter!

Had another go tinight on some open grained oak and managed to get a shine. Not "glass like" but a huge improvement and no sticky mess:banana:
I didn't dare put anything on top as I'm a scaredy cat but light at the end of the tunnel maybe.

no kits left now until my orders arrive so I'll have to do something else. Could always cut another few hundred blanks:whistling:

Bob

Very nice Bob. Don't be worried about polishing on top of the ca. That's when the magic happens. Just a touch of plastic polish, burnishing cream or car wax and it'll shine. I always do it when its spinning though and just after applying the ca.

Looks good Bob you have done a grand job with the pen
Personaly I just hate using the stuff also for health reasons I'm sure it cant do your nose lining and lungs any good I'm not convinced about how good CA is not with the complaints I have heard from people who use it but that's just me it wouldn't do for us all to be the same

A good CA finish sure does look good Lons, as this pen shows, stick at it (no pun intended) and you will have your glass finish for sure ... :winking:

Bob, Believe me it is worth persevering I dont go for the 25 coat finishes great overkill. If you are worried by the effects of CA put a fan at low speed at right angles to turning to get those fumes away I say slower speed in case it accelerates drying of the CA.

KInd regards Peter.:goesred:
