It may have looked better with say sycamore in place of the elm to give more of a contrast

Been doing similar on Fancy Slims with White Oak and Mahogany. Great minds think alike !!!!! :ciggrin:
I think I need more contrasting woods. Been using Gorilla poly glue, I'm not too happy with it as you can see the glue lines when finished.
What glue do you use?
