Padauk with a soft touch end. I think it needed a bit of something else to break it up and a bit shorter.

I like Padauk Paul, especially when as red as this one, really nice shaped pen ... :thumbs:

Thanks all. While I don't particularly like this one myself, I am no longer surprised by other people when they do like it and my sales show that.

I do like the idea Paul well I like the pen full stop it will take mixing different wood or wood and acrylic just like Ian's longwood pen

It's a lovely pen and well finished, maybe a darker nib end would highlight the colour on the body.
