Google<. UK Duty on goods coming from Aust....I thing there is no charge on anything under £135, but check first. I have never had to pay any duty on anything form Timber bits so far and i have had some orders well over that value.

Any goods entering the country over the value of £18 are subject to customs Vat at 20% Over £135 import tax can be due at a rate of between 3 and 9% depending on the categorisation of the goods. Import tax added first, then vat on that as well! Nice arent they!

Many, many, thanks for all the info guy's. I used to buy some bits from the States but don't bother these days, cost almost as much again by the time all get their rake off as it comes into the country. I beleive this is the beauty of modern life.
