A brace of cigar pens for the craft fair we're going to in October. These are soooo much easier to do with a proper scroll chuck! Walnut - sapwood for the ash section.

Marvellous young David I love them, now that would make a great Clumsy pen, I'll have to remember and steal this idea later.

How did you do the cigar band in the end?
Beautiful boxes too, very well thought out, can I ask what the two little dots are under the lid? I assume soft pads but they look like you marked the hinges on the wrong side:ave_it: I know that's not true so please elaborate.

The cigar band was printed on paper, coated with a few coats of acrylic clear varnish to make it glossy and waterproof, then cut out with a craft knife and wrapped around the pen. A dab of paper glue on one end secures it to the other end, so they slide on the pen barrel if pulled or twisted.

I think these are fabulous, the overall effect is stunning.
