Some more of the blanks found on the floor, difficult to turn, wouldn't bother making more and I don't know if I will bother with the others I have.

I think I have a couple like that you sent me a while ago

They are very difficult to turn and needs CA as you go if you see any gaps between the resin and the shells.

I have another set on the lathe, but I am not sure I am going to bother finishing them and I won't be smashing them up to recast, it was worth a try using pistachio shells, but they are a real pita. Thanks for the comments.

Nice work on them.
When I saw the Pistashio heading, I thought
it would be the nut colored blank. But it's the shells:thinks:

Yes, the shells, I hate waste and am always looking at things with regards to making blanks from them, the nuts were great as always, but the shells are just too hard and smooth so there is the risk that they will come loose from the resin and as they are harder than the resin they tend to stick out from the resin after sanding, you can't see they are slightly raised, but you can feel where the shells are.
