Yep, agree it’s not the nicest of stuff and many would say it’s best chucked on the fire.

But whatever the customer wants they get. (They haven’t seen it yet so may think the same as you when they do)

Never tried to turn Monkey Puzzle but it looks OK on this pen. I too am in two minds about the kit.

Thankyou Peter, this was a piece that I had cut off from the limb section before I turned the bowl, pointless wasting it.

Neither am I to be honest. had 4 bowls to do, I'm on my last one now and hope its the last I see of Chilean pine.
