It seems the maxim follow the instructions , the way to go mate .The result magnifies the effort with the faces the right way up in the pocket and right way all the way posted. Right meaning facing which is personal choice most everyone would choose.

With this result the makers intention is realised from the blankmaker and now a happy penmaker.

This pen will be a gasper for all who see it. Congatulations you two.

Peter.

Looks good! Glad it turned out well!! Noting alignment is often a sign of a more advanced skilled turner, one who takes great pride in workmanship.

Love that pen, I looked at that blank a couple of weeks ago and did not dare to get one. I would be way to nervous trying to work it.

You are a braver man than me and have made a most excellent pen :drool:

Love it and want one, but not just yet lol

Many say things like that Dan but the truth is it's not that hard or difficult to finish.

Hi David....they are not as difficult as you think....its a CA finish the blanks only require a polish and finish....try it..
There is a fantastic guide on clay pen blanks site....

Yes the blanks are hand made to size. All you need is a CA finish and at most a very light trim on the ends.
