Thanks to everyone who sent a response to my last thread. I checked on my turning and found the cap end was not correct, at each end I had not quite trimmed to the length of the brass tube making the wood 1/16" to long preventing the tip of the pen not entering the plastic. Now everything ok.

Well sorted then. I need to remember this as I have got some of those kits to have a go at when I get a Roundtuit!
