Would one of these machines be of use to do similar work on blanks that the Beall Pen Wizard can do, or is it to big .. :thinks:

Jim, It has been done on the Trend but the problem is the Router size and cutters,if you could fit a collet adapter to say a palm router and mount the router to the trend it would be possible provided you had some form of speed controller. You might also need to work out the mandrel mounting, the Beall machine apparently was very unstable although I can not speak from personal experience. If it was I'm sure it was because of setup and calibration issues ....... I did try to acquire one without success it was way too expensive here in the UK. Now I'm back I'm working on a version of the Mugbot CNC machine which is a do it yourself kit working on Arduino electronics controlled by a pc the milling head being provided by a Dremel. I have the frame proto typed and now need to finalise the electronics etc.
