Tried some Blackthorn on a slimline

I dont know enough of the wood to know if the slimline shows it off etc, but as for pen, it's looking good! Turned and finished IMHO.

Blackthorn is a lovely wood that turns well and is easy to get a good finish on. You've done that nicely on the right hand one but the left needs a bit more polish :funny:
