Thank you all for your advise Ted and Mark I think I'll act on what you suggest.
As nobody wants the blades on offer I might just try that.
I only have half a working shed at the moment, still in disarray from organising the sort out.
I have in the meantime done a little looking at you tube and it seems silver solder is a lot stronger than I had thought.
I have used it inn the past but not on this sort of thing.
Ted I would like to see your jig but I do like the look of this one init?
